June 8th

Embarkation Day, another Market breakfast, then we leave the hotel and cab it to the pier. Phantom mysterious surcharges show up on the meter, and English is unknown. The ship looks great. We are happy to check in and get our sea pass cards. We head to the Windjammer for lunch at noon. Then my dad and head back to the pier for some duty-free shopping. Back on board we settle into our cabins. The children and I have connecting insides on deck 8, and we are very happy with them. My parents are on deck 3 in a nice outside cabin.  Everyone can watch their own shows on the TV. We head up to the Pool Deck for some R&R and soft drinks. Bags are unpacked, muster completed, and dinner is served.
Delicious food in the Main Dining room, yumm, and more filling than that Tapas.

Ten year old Jack finds his plain steak, rice, and broccoli quite delicious. This is his go- to dish, which Arnel quickly picks up on and has ready for him in the future.
We attend the show and are introduced to Matt the cruise director and the dancers and singers.
Sleepytime, we head for some sleep before Cannes.

Note to self, next time consider walking down Ramblas to Christopher Columbus Circle and taking Port Bus. Just sayin.
